Born in Portland while his father Arvydas played for the Blazers, raised in Málaga and Kaunas, two seasons at Gonzaga and the No. 11 pick in 2016; an All-Star in Indiana and Sacramento's centerpiece since 2022. In season he follows a strict anti-inflammatory diet and a private chef handles most meals, with one standing exception: takeout from Kru, the East Sacramento Japanese restaurant that bent its no-takeout rule for him. He and his wife Shashana also make a Napa Cabernet, Ones by Sabonis.
