Nassau, Bahamas, native who learned to hit from his grandmother, a shortstop on the Bahamian national softball team, moved to Kansas at 12 for high school, debuted with the Marlins in 2020 and was traded to the Yankees in July 2024; he was an All-Star in 2022 and 2025. As a Marlin he shared his late-night Miami stops with The Infatuation: oxtail curry at Dukunoo in Wynwood, jerk chicken at Red Rooster Overtown, octopus at Contessa and pork belly ramen at Sakura Ramen. He was pictured at the Yankees' June 2025 dinner at Jeff Ruby's in Cincinnati. His favorite fast food is Bamboo Shack back in the Bahamas; World Famous House of Mac, another Miami pick, has closed.
