Rikuzentakata, Iwate, native who threw a perfect game for the Chiba Lotte Marines in 2022 and joined the Dodgers in 2025. In his hometown he frequents Shikairo, a Chinese restaurant whose owner is a longtime family friend and whose mapo tantanmen grew out of a hot pot he and his late father loved. In August 2025 Nobu Matsuhisa posted his first dinner at Matsuhisa with Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
