Los Angeles Dodgers · DH/P

Shohei Ohtani

Born in Mizusawa (now Ōshū), Iwate, he went from Hanamaki Higashi High to the Nippon-Ham Fighters, became the two-way star of the Angels in 2018 and signed with the Dodgers in 2024, winning the 2024 and 2025 World Series. Asked by the L.A. Times for his favorite restaurant in Los Angeles, he named Nobu Matsuhisa's Beverly Hills flagship, where the chef has posted him with Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Roki Sasaki and MVP cakes ever since. In-N-Out is his favorite American food (protein style in the offseason, animal style in season), and in Tokyo in 2025 he, Yamamoto and Sasaki hosted the team's players-only sushi dinner.
