Lubbock-born, Norman-raised point guard, one season at Oklahoma and the No. 5 pick in 2018, a four-time All-Star in Atlanta before the Hawks traded him to Washington in January 2026; he signed a four-year extension that June. As a rookie he marveled that Atlanta had a Waffle House on every corner, the chain he called his spot back home, and in 2019 he named Little Alley Steak, Chops and Bones as his Buckhead steakhouses. At Oklahoma his family's Sunday ritual was lunch at Louie's after church, and on the eve of the 2018 draft they had a steak dinner at STK.
