CJ McCollum

Canton, Ohio native (GlenOak High School) who starred at Lehigh and earned a journalism degree before Portland drafted him 10th in 2013; nine seasons as a Trail Blazer, then New Orleans and Washington before the January 2026 Trae Young trade sent him to Atlanta, where he re-signed for a year that June. A former NBPA president and the NBA's best-known wine entrepreneur: his McCollum Heritage 91 label is made with Adelsheim in the Willamette Valley, and in 2026 he and his wife Elise launched McCollum Family Vineyard on their Carlton, Oregon estate. His wine education began at RingSide's bar; the rookie-year Portland haunts he also named, Tasty n Sons, Henry's Tavern and McCormick & Schmick's, have all since closed.
