Miami native from Christopher Columbus High who played three seasons at Cal, led Indiana to a 16-0 national championship in 2025 and went first overall to the Raiders in 2026. Inspired by his mother's fight with multiple sclerosis, he has turned restaurant collaborations into fundraisers: the Mendoza Burrito at La Burrita, one of his Berkeley favorites, and, with his brother Alberto, the Mendoza Brothers Burger at BuffaLouie's and a Cubano at Gables Bagels in Bloomington. He is also a Taco Bell brand ambassador, with a Mendoza Special at Allegiant Stadium's Taco Bell Cantina.
